Travelers visiting NYC who want a panoramic view of the Manhattan skyline will be impressed with their options along the Hudson River in New Jersey. There are seven hotels that offer inspiring views of the Big Apple and are within a quick walk to train transportation to New Jersey via the PATH subway system. Expect to spend about 20 minutes commuting to Manhattan, or the Financial District via the PATH. Ferries are also available to cross the Hudson, and this can be a cool way to see NYC, but beware of restricted ferry schedules that favor commuters.

The W – #1 NJ Hotel With Skyline View of NYC

w_hotel_near_jersey_view_of_manhattan

The W is the best choice for a luxury minded hotel in New Jersey with a view of Manhattan. Guests looking into the W for its views need to keep in mind that only rooms above the cozy and wonderful status offer views of Manhattan. In other words, standard rooms typically face away from Manhattan. The W’s Lulu bar offers up a view of Manhattan from behind the bar. The W also sits in front of Pier C that connects with the Hudson river walk. Unfortunately the W is expensive for most budgets. Parking is over $35 per day and wifi is not free. The W receives an edge over nearby competitors for its location in Hoboken. Hoboken will offer the best neighborhood amongst other alternatives locations.

hyatt_nj_hotel_skyline_view_of_nyc

The Hyatt sits next to the Exchange Place PATH station. This make the Hyatt the best choice for a hotel in New Jersey with access to the Financial District / World Trade Center. Unlike the W or Westin the Hyatt offers up a variety of rooms sizes that have a view of Manhattan, so it is possible to find a standard room with a view. The hotel shares grounds with the the Hudson River Walk, and the Hyatt restaurant offer dinning views of the Manhattan skyline. Travelers won’t get a break on parking or wifi here. Parking is over $30 per day.

Sheraton – #4 NJ Hotel With Skyline View of NYC

sheraton_nj_hotels_skyline_view_of_manhattan

The Sheraton is located in the norther section of Hoboken at Lincoln Harbor a few blocks from the Lincoln Tunnel entrance. The problem with the Sheraton is that it is not near a train station to NYC. The best option for accessing NYC is to use the ferry. Luckily the ferry schedule from Lincoln Harbor runs on both weekdays and weekends. Unlike the Hyatt, or W the Sheraton doesn’t have a hotel bar with sweeping views of NYC. Like the other hotels parking is over $25 per day and internet is charged.
