Why: Pets Allowed, Views of Manhattan, Friendly Staff
The Sheraton is just one block from the Lincoln Harbor ferry station, and from there it’s just five minutes to Manhattan. Rooms aren’t cheap at an average nightly rate of $277.44, but the hotel sits right on the harbor and many rooms have beautiful views of the water and Manhattan. Guests like the on-site restaurant, Jack Austin’s, which has an outdoor patio. The hotel also allows dogs under 40 pounds and there are pedestrian paths along the waterfront for walks. Across hundreds of online reviews, the front desk staff received numerous compliments for friendliness and attentiveness. Overall, the Sheraton is a good place to stay in Lincoln Harbor.
About Lincoln Harbor
Who is Best for this Location?
Travelers who want to impress a loved one by having a hotel with an excellent view of the New York City Skyline. Those who want to take the Ferry from NYC to Manhattan.
Neighborhood Vibe: Lincoln Harbor is a coastal neighborhood in Weehawken, New Jersey. The only thing separating Lincoln Harbor from Manhattan is the Hudson River. The Lincoln Tunnel for driving between New Jersey and New York sits at the edge of Weehawken Waterfront Recreation Park. It’s an area many people pass through every day, but some families do live in the area and enjoy the parks and waterfront.
Getting Around: From Lincoln Harbor, the fastest and most convenient way to Manhattan is via the ferry, which takes five minutes to get to Midtown. Taking the bus or driving will get you to Times Square in 15 – 20 minutes via the Lincoln Tunnel.
What to Eat: Many of the restaurants in walking distance are meant for upscale lunches or dinners, like the Chart House for seafood. The Mediterranean Grill is casual stop known for their gyros. And the Boogie Woogie Bagel Boys have you covered for breakfast.
Things to Do: Since it’s so easy to get to New York City from here, that’s what most people do. The ferry drops off near Times Square so you can easily see a Broadway Show, visit the Empire State Building, or check out Rockefeller Center. Transfer from the ferry to the Subway to reach other neighborhoods like Chinatown, Greenwich Village, or Harlem.
