There are two hotels within walking distance of the Teterboro NJ Transit station: Holiday Inn and Home2 Suites. Both hotels offer basic amenities like free wireless internet in all rooms and free parking. Both hotels are close to the station, the Home2 Suites is just two blocks closer. Room rates in this area vary greatly on weeknights versus weekends (cheaper on weekends). However, the Holiday Inn is consistently $10-15 per night cheaper than the Home2 Suites. Neither hotel offers anything particularly memorable for good or bad reasons, so we recommend the Holiday Inn as you’ll spend less per night.

Travelers who desire a comfortable suburban area just of I-80 and a 50 minute train ride into NYC. Hotels have free parking. This is a good location to the Giants or Jets play.
Neighborhood Vibe: Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey is a residential suburb of New York City. Most visitors are football fans who wish to see the Jets or Giants play. Much of the activity in the area centers around the football stadium and Teterboro Airport, though there are also many strip malls.
Getting Around: The purple NJ Transit line from Teterboro station reaches Penn Station in Manhattan in about 50 minutes. Newark Airport is about an hour or more away with a transfer.
What to Eat: There are many local eateries serving American food in the Hasbrouck Heights area. Diner culture is big in New Jersey, so a stop at the Bendix Diner is recommended. For pizza, the best choice is Vivianna’s. Keep an eye out for food trucks like Luke’s Lobster and Anton’s Dumplings.
Things to Do: The Meadowlands Sports Complex and Metlife Stadium are just five miles from Teterboro station. Here you can see the New York Jets and New York Giants football teams during fall and winter. It’s also a great spot to see horse racing. Other nearby activities include the Aviation Hall of Fame of New Jersey and Jump On In play area for children.
